Angelo Serra


Angelo Serra has been working in the construction industry since he was seventeen and once he completed his apprenticeship in heating and plumbing, he worked for a small family run company whilst his skills set grew, preparing him for the future.

His resilience and determination made him stand out amongst his peers and therefore when he set up his business in 2012 with Simon Speller, it was his attitude and outlook to work which still helps his business grow to this day – the many loyal customers which have been with S&S since their opening years are testament to this. The business began small, but their many years of experience in the industry has helped S&S grow steadily throughout its eight years in operation.

Angelo prides himself and his business upon having satisfied customers and hearing positive feedback, with their ethos being entirely customer orientated, aiming to take headaches away from the customers and to solve any issues calmly and effectively. He also cares greatly for his employees and believes that rewarding staff is extremely important, as a good team of staff are the core of any business – their excellent staff retention rate is evidence of this.



Simon Speller


Following finishing accountancy and management qualifications a position arose in the construction industry. After a year of accounts management I took over the day to day running of the company, with my level of customer service, ethos of hard work and a background in finance the company doubled its size within two years.

In 2009 I moved onto another project and produced similar results for another company before making the decision to try and build my own brand.

With the hands on approach and personal touches I have kept in contact with a lot of clients in large sectors who have stayed with Serra and Speller throughout our journey.


Tony Cirillo


Operations Director


Tony Cirillo joined the business in early 2023, to support the growth and aspirations of the business. Although not from a construction background, his many years of experience in senior leadership roles in large corporate organisations support delivering the company’s values of first class customer service, always being competitive and efficient. Tony has 30 years of leadership extensive experience successfully delivering for company’s such as Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury’s, leading at all levels and scale, improving performance and change in all aspects through focus and engagement.

Tony’s unrelenting focus on delivering what is important for customers and his employees, whilst ensuring the business is sustainable and profitable, are the basis of his leadership value set, and will enhance the strength of the business.


Jane Square

Jane McKay

Office Manager

I’ve recently returned to S&S to take up a new role as Office Manager. Having already worked within the S&S Estimating Department, I was familiar with the company and keen to see how they had grown.

Having picked up additional skills over the past few years working within events and retail, I am looking forward to being able to apply these skills within S&S.  My new role will evolve over the oncoming months, but for now, I am working closely with Jengis in looking after the day to day running of the Office, Van fleet, stock and assisting with HR.


Darren Hutchins

Head of IT

I first started with Serra and Speller in an administrative role, where I learnt how the company operated. I developed quickly in my role and was promoted to M&E Manager. It was a fast paced and challenging role where I was able to put my problem solving skills to good use to help provide the best customer service I possibly could at all times. I have since taken up the role as Head of IT. I am responsible for looking towards the future, seeking ways to implement change that can help grow the company as well as improve customer service.

Head of Safety and Compliance

Having worked for Serra and Speller in the compliance team for nearly two years, I was promoted into my current role as the Head of Safety and Compliance.

Although timescales are sometimes challenging, our primary goal is to assist with keeping our clients properties compliant. We will always adapt to fit in works and conduct them to the highest possible standard.

I enjoy the fast paced work and pride myself on the relationships I have built with new and our longstanding clients. Serra and Speller have also aided my development, providing me with the opportunity to extend my current skillset by partaking in industry related courses.

Safety and Compliance Coordinator

I have recently joined Serra and Speller to work in the compliance department to make sure all accreditations such as GasSafe and NICEIC are kept up to date.

I work closely with our QS to ensure any changes in regulations are implement across the company and RAMS in this field are updated accordingly. Currently within my role I am studying Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) training to help me develop in my current role.

Head of Maintenance

I first joined Serra and Speller as an Administrative Assistant providing support to the Maintenance department. I quickly took to the role and developed an understanding of how the department operated, allowing me to progress into heading the Maintenance department within a year.

Within this role I have had the opportunity to build great client relationships and expand my understanding in the property maintenance field, which has helped me to deliver even better customer service.

Martin Spong

Head of Projects

With many years of experience in the maintenance industry, mainly based at Heathrow airport, I have been able to utilise my vast knowledge to assist in my role as Projects Manager for Serra and Speller.

Whilst managing and overseeing all large project works in the company, I also have an active role in building up good relationships with our clients too.

When required, I support my Projects team in the office with planning for future works and the rest of my time will be spent on site overseeing the ongoing projects to ensure we’re meeting our targets and problem solving any challenges we face.

Projects Estimator

Before starting with Serra & Speller, I previously worked within the NHS converting bathrooms into wet rooms, as well as installing stairlifts and ceiling track hoists.

I started off as an engineer for Serra & Speller and they have given me the opportunity to expand my skillset within the company, which I embraced with open arms.

I have recently taken on the position as Projects Estimator. I have a handful of team members where our ultimate goal is to meet all targets set to continually grow the department and to take on new assignments which will help me learn and develop within my role.


Sian Neate

Projects Coordinator

With 6 years’ experience dealing with re-active maintenance prior to starting with Serra and Speller, I wanted to progress over to larger scale works. So when the opportunity arose at as Projects coordinator with Serra and Speller, I was enthusiastic to make the transition and expand on my current skills.

I work alongside our Projects manager, providing support as and when required. Part of my role is to also provide a link between our clients and the ongoing works. I help to ensure all works are completed as efficiently as possible and within the timescales set.

I have always worked within office environments and love being part of our team that supports and helps each other whilst delivering the best customer service to our clients.

I first started with Serra and Speller working Reception where I was able to utilise my customer service skills that I developed from my previous job.

When an opportunity arose to work for the Projects team, I was eager to take on the challenge and further my current skillset with a deeper understanding of the maintenance and construction industry.

I enjoy the continuous challenge the work provides as well as working alongside a team that are always helpful which aids in achieving our collective targets.

Estimating Coordinator

After completing my BEng in Electronics & Communication, I had completed my apprenticeship training in India and continued my career in facilities management sector in Dubai, UAE.

When I moved to the UK; it was my dream to resume my career in the same business sector. I came across an opening in Serra & Speller and I joined as an Administrator. At S&S, I got the opportunity to develop my skills and continue to build my professional career. It was a learning curve for me working with Serra and Speller team where I came across with different areas of the construction, maintenance and service sectors. The working environment, professionalism and teamwork at Serra and Speller is appreciable and I look forward to continue developing within my current position.
